Gratitude & Blessings from Guruji

Updated: Apr 21

My dear Yoga family,

My heart is overflowing with gratitude for the most beautiful week and weekend we have just shared together.

What we experienced was not merely an event—it was deeply heart-touching and truly soul-enriching, one of Atma Prasadhanam.

To witness the love, affection, and gratitude expressed by each one of you has been a profound and humbling blessing for me.

Param Pujya Swamiji would often remind us that “gratitude that is not expressed is a bounced cheque.” How joyous it has been to see so many of you ensuring that your cheques did not bounce!

The collective effort, the devotion, and the coming together of our Sangha—from more than 26 countries—created a manifestation of "beauty that did not exist before", just as Ammaji would so often say.

April 19th 2026 will remain etched in the history of Ananda Ashram in Pondicherry, India—a day when the future torchbearers of this Rishiculture Parampara stood radiant, receiving the recognition they so truly deserve.

This was my Star Birthday (Nakshatra) and what made it even more special was that it marked Akshaya Trittiya,  which is an extremely auspicious day symbolising "never-diminishing" prosperity, success, and new beginnings.

The Janmotsav celebrations had unfolded with such grace—from the inspiring cultural offerings of students past and present (on the 18th), to the sacred Homam at Sri Kambaliswamy Matham, and the deeply significant anointment of Anandraj Giri as the 9th Mathadipathi. He has been well prepared over the past decade with guidance from our beloved Ammaji and assistance from the extended YOGNAT/ICYER Family.

This day was further adorned by the spellbinding musical offering, the Sangeeta Arangetram of our beloved Chinna Ammaji Divya Priya Bhavanani, a performance so absorbing that I remained seated, immersed, for its entirety. Three hours of pure ecstatic and divine music filled our ears as we watched her blossom into the "Star that She is to BE".

It was also a moment to reflect upon and celebrate fifty years of my own journey as Mathadipathi and lineage holder, a journey made meaningful only through the grace of the Rishiculture Guru Parampara and the love of all of you.

Each one of you has contributed in your own unique way. Some through generous Gurudakshina, others through service, presence, or unwavering support. And many simply by being there—because truly, your presence is the greatest present.

Seeing my beloved Ammaji witness these moments of fruition, with my dear Dr. Balaji ensuring her joyful participation, was itself a blessing beyond words.

Let us remember that a living tradition, a Parampara is not sustained merely by reverence for the past. It lives through the present and flows into the future. While we bow in gratitude to what has been, we must also consciously nurture what is now, so that what is to come in the future remains strong, steady, and sacred.

May we all strive to be worthy of this great Rishiculture Guru Parampara.

May we remain loving children of our Divine Mother Yoga.

May we be blessed—and may we be a blessing.

With love, blessings and gratitude,

Hari Om Tat Sat
