The Journey Doesn't End—It Begins with a New Perspective
One of the most profound questions in spiritual life is: What happens after Samadhi? Does a person remain absorbed in that state forever, or do they return to ordinary life?
In this illuminating exchange between Guruji Yogacharya Dr. Ananda Balayogi Bhavanani and his Shishya ad Spiritual Companion Yogacharini Anandhi, he explains that the external life of an enlightened person may appear almost unchanged—but their inner perspective is transformed forever.

"If before enlightenment you were gardening, after enlightenment you will still garden. If before enlightenment you went to work, after enlightenment you will still go to work."

Glimpses vs. Established Samadhi

Many seekers experience brief moments of profound silence, unity, or transcendence. These experiences come and go, offering inspiration and direction.
But true Samadhi Sthiti is different.
It permanently transforms one's perception of reality.
As Guruji beautifully expresses:
"Once you have been touched by that divine brush, there is no colouring left at all."
The impurities that once clouded perception gradually dissolve, revealing life as it truly is.
Why Return?
If liberation is possible, why would an enlightened being remain in the world?

Infinite compassion.
Those who have reached the threshold of ultimate liberation often choose not to cross immediately. Instead, they remain to help others find the same path.
This is the ideal of the Jivan Mukta—one who is inwardly free while continuing to live among humanity.
